NHL club “San Jose” called a Russian defenseman from the American Hockey League (AHL) farm club Shakira Moukhamadullina reports the Sharks press service.
Mukhamadullin played in 39 games for the San Jose Barracudas this season, scoring 26 points (5 goals, 21 assists) and setting AHL career highs in all offensive categories. At the time of the call-up, Mukhamadullin tied for second on the team in assists and fourth in points. He ranks sixth among AHL defensemen in assists and 10th in points. 22-year-old Mukhamadullin has the opportunity to make his debut in the National Hockey League.
Also Russian defender Daniel Misyul recalled from AHL Utica Comets team in New Jersey Devils reports the club’s press service.
For Misyul, 23, this call to the NHL was the first of his career. This season, the defenseman played 30 games in the AHL and scored 11 points (3+8).
