Omsk”Avant-garde “earned a spot in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs in the 2023/24 season.
This happened after Magnitogorsk Metallurg defeated Khabarovsk Amur with a score of 3:2.
Avangard has 79 points, the club ranks second in the Eastern Conference, just behind Magnitka (82), which reached the playoffs earlier. From the Western Conference, SKA, Dynamo Moscow, Lokomotiv, Spartak and Torpedo participated in the Gagarin Cup.
Last season, the Omsk team reached the final of the Eastern Conference, where they lost to Ak Bars Kazan in five matches.
