Athletistic/Hockey. During the VHL match between Samara CSK VVS and Penza Diesel on January 28, a conflict occurred between fans of both teams.

The incident broke out at the Sports Palace in Samara, when CSK VVS beat Diesel with a score of 4:3. In the 53rd minute of the match, a clash occurred between fans on the lower level of the arena.

According to preliminary information, the fight was provoked by the theft of a home supporters’ banner by Penza supporters, as well as harassment of female volunteers. The situation was quickly resolved, notably thanks to the intervention of hockey players who banged their sticks on the window, calling for an end to the incident.

The VHL said it would investigate the incident and take appropriate action. The League’s statement read: “The League categorically condemns this behavior by supporters and will carefully review the incident. Proceedings have been initiated regarding the incident by the FHR Disciplinary Committee, and the actions of all parties will be subject to legal assessment and appropriate sanctions will be taken.”
