2016 World Cup bronze medalist as a member of the Russian national hockey team Stepan Sannikov left the Belarusian “Brest”, reports the press service of the club.
The agreement with the 33-year-old Russian was terminated by agreement of the parties. He moved to Brest on January 5 and played five matches for the club, in which he scored 1 (0+1) point with a utility indicator of “-1”.
For Sannikov, this club became the third this season, after playing for Dynamo Saint Petersburg and Tambov, in the All-Russian Hockey League (VHL).
In the KHL, the forward played for Sibir, Yaroslavl Lokomotiv, Kazan Ak Bars and Ufa Salavat Yulaev. In total, he played 724 league matches, in which he scored 209 (84+125) points.
