Athletistic / Hockey. “Admiral” extended the contract with head coach Leonid Tambiev. The 53-year-old Latvian specialist will remain at the Far Eastern club at least until the end of the 2025/2026 season.
Leonid Tambiev will lead the Admiral in the fall of 2021. Last season, for the first time in their history, the Sailors reached the second round of the KHL playoffs, where they lost to Ak Bars (2-4 in the series). Before that, Tambiev worked with the Kazakh club Saryarka. Under his leadership, this team became VHL champions twice.
This season, Admiral has scored 45 points in 57 matches and is in the penultimate, 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Vladivostok team has 11 matches left before the end of the regular season.
