Triple world hockey champion Alexei Tereshchenko spoke about the prospects of the Columbus striker Dmitry Voronkov in the NHL.
The Russian forward scored the winning goal in the match against Saint-Louis (1:0) in the NHL regular season.
— With the data available to Voronkov and his desire, Dmitry can be considered one of those who can gain a foothold in the NHL and play there at the right level. He has everything it takes to be a great hockey player, he has a good shot and good technique. Who among our accomplished players could I compare Voronkov with? I wouldn’t even want to draw a parallel here, I can only wish him to progress and become better,” Tereshchenko said, as quoted by RT.
This season, 23-year-old Voronkov scored 25 (12+13) points in 44 matches.
