Spartak played their worst match of the season. No fight or threat” – Zhamnov about the match against Lokomotiv

The head coach “Spartacus” Alexey Jamnov after the defeat against Lokomotiv (1:2), he said that his team played the worst match in the current Fonbet KHL championship.

The Red and Whites lost to the Yaroslavl club in Moscow with a score of 1:2. At the end of the second period, the Muscovites conceded two goals in 65 seconds, including a minority goal from Alexander Polunin.

— It seems that Lokomotiv does not suit you, you lost to them again. Is it a question of psychology?

— I wouldn’t say we’re under any pressure. But I told the players in the locker room that we had played the worst match of the season. No fighting, no threats. The game is won inside, not when shooting from the perimeter. We left without any mood. But we warned, showed everything and explained all the nuances of our mistakes. But we are walking on the same rake.

— Why did you start to misapply the majority? What is the problem?

– We have to play correctly. And we, by conceding the first goal, played completely badly. You need to be more careful with how you handle the puck. And it all comes from a fulfilling discipline of play. For the most part, we slipped into the middle of the picture. But there were certain circumstances. Now we will come back. But this is the first time in my practice that I have lost a match while playing in the majority.

— Spartak is not at all capable of playing against system teams.

– We’ll break it down. We are building a team. We have advantages and disadvantages. We are trying to improve our problems. I don’t think we’re falling into a hole. Let us draw certain conclusions and we will be all the stronger for it. This is the job of the technical staff.

— Will Talaluev return from Khimik? Is he so bad?

“We haven’t stopped it.” But there are guys that we raised in Voskresensk and we try them. This is our in-house kitchen. Talaluev knows it, we spoke with him. He needs to practice the game and it is thanks to this that he will come back,” Zhamnov was quoted as saying by correspondent.

Spartak, with 76 points in 59 matches, ranks fourth in the KHL Western Conference standings.
