Russian attacker Andrey Kuzmenko after moving to Calgary Flames said he is excited to begin a new chapter in his career and looks forward to the opportunity to help the team.
On Thursday, Kuzmenko was traded from the Vancouver Canucks to Calgary.
“I’m very excited to come to Calgary and join the Flames.” This is a great opportunity for me to join a new team, in a new city and contribute to the offense. My throwing is my strong point, I like to be creative.
I feel like I can help on the power play and I’m looking forward to the opportunity. I am happy to start a new chapter in my career,” Kuzmenko was quoted as saying by the Calgary press service.
Kuzmenko has been playing for Vancouver since the 2022/23 season. In total, the 27-year-old Russian played 124 games for the Canucks, in which he scored 95 (47+48) points.
