St. Petersburg forward SKA Zakhar Bardakov talked about healing from a lip injury.
In January, Bardakov was hit in the face with a puck during a regular season match of the Fonbet KHL Championship against Kunlun Red Star (3: 1).
— If you remember last season, I also suffered a lot of injuries then. That’s my style of play. They could do it. But the lip injury is of course very strange. I have my man. Just kind of a “magnet” this season. But it’s okay, I think. The main thing is that this doesn’t happen in the playoffs. There will be the most competitive hockey, the most important matches.
—How many did you end up missing because of your latest injury?
— I missed a match. But it’s still hard. We need to redo our teeth. And the lip is already sewn up, that’s normal, the stitches will be removed soon.
— Is it uncomfortable to eat and kiss?
“Well, kissing is good, but eating is inconvenient, yes,” Bardakov said, as quoted by RB Sport.
This season, Bardakov scored 9 (6+3) points in 40 regular season matches.
