The composition of the teams for the NHL All-Star Game, which will be held in Toronto, has been determined, the league’s press service reports.
This year, the event will take place in a new format. The team captains will be Auston Matthews (Toronto), Connor McDavid (Edmonton), Nathan MacKinnon (Colorado) and Jack Hughes/Quinn Hughes (New Jersey/Vancouver).
Five Russians will participate in the All-Star Game – Tampa Bay forward Nikita Koucherov Colorado goalkeeper Alexander Georgiev Florida goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky New York Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin and Minnesota forward Kirill Kaprizov .
Kucherov was the first pick in the All-Star Game draft and ended up on Hughes’ team. Shesterkin will play for Matthews’ team, Kaprizov and Georgiev will play for MacKinnon’s team, Bobrovsky will play for McDavid’s team. Kucherova will also compete in four skill competitions.
The NHL All-Star Game will take place on February 3.
