Initially, the match against Kunlun on February 25 was scheduled to take place in Mytishchi, but the Chinese club invited SKA to hold the match in St. Petersburg as its arena would be occupied that day by a martial arts tournament. The St. Petersburg club agreed.

In December, the SKA Arena hosted the KHL All-Star Game.

SKA with 79 points in 57 matches occupies first place in the KHL Western Conference standings.
