Athletistic / Hockey. Journalist Sean McIndoe, in his article in The Athletic, criticized Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov for the Russian’s reluctance to make an effort in the NHL All-Star Game competitions. At the event in Toronto, the Russian took last place in the skill competition.
“It was incredibly difficult to beat Justin Bieber, but unfortunately we have to give credit to Nikita Kucherov. Today the Russian was booed for essentially giving up halfway through the passing contest, throwing pucks almost randomly in different directions.
After his last place in the one-touch shooting competition, Kucherov realized that he would not win $1 million and simply decided to give up everything. I guess I understand that. But listen, when you get booed for not showing any desire to compete in an exhibition event, maybe you should at least try a little harder,” McIndoe said according to The Athletic.
