Athletistic / Hockey. Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby, a two-time Olympic champion, commented on the NHL’s decision to release its players for the next two Olympic Games.
“The NHL’s decision on the Olympics was great news. We’ve had to be in all this uncertainty before, so it’s just incredible news. I’m sure a lot of players are really happy right now.
I would love to play again at the 2026 Olympics in Italy. But I never think that far ahead. I would like to participate in this competition again. But this opportunity still needs to be won. This is not easy. To represent your country in the Olympics, you have to earn it,” Crosby said according to The Hockey News.

Sidney Crosby played for Team Canada at the 2010 and 2014 Olympic Games, where he helped the Maple Leafs win gold medals twice. The 2026 Olympic Games will be held from February 6 to 22 in Italy and the hockey tournament will take place entirely in Milan.
