American defender of Kazan “Ak Barsa » Mitchell Miller said Sochi became his favorite city in Russia because it could be compared to Miami.
Miller, 23, joined Ak Bars during the current season, which he started at Slovak club Liptovsky Mikulas.
— Have you already managed to adapt to hockey in Russia?
— I think hockey is very fast here. Compared to Slovakia, this is a serious step forward. I’ve played a little over 20 games here, but I wouldn’t compare that to North America. It’s a different style.
— Do you already like any of the cities?
— All the cities in Russia that I have visited are really good. So far my favorite place is Sochi. But the rest of the cities are also magnificent. Sochi is the Russian Miami,” Miller said, as quoted by RB Sport.
This season, Miller played 22 matches for Ak Bars, in which he scored 9 (2+7) points.
