Michael MacLeod of the New Jersey Devils was charged with two counts of sexual assault and aiding and abetting, police said. The other players, including goalie Carter Hart of the Philadelphia Flyers, Cal Foote of the New Jersey Devils, Dillon Dube of the Calgary Flames and Alex Formenton of Ambri-Piotta, will face rape charges.
The hockey players mentioned will be held accountable under the law in accordance with Canadian law. In the case of the first part of the gang rape charge, they face up to 25 years in prison.
