Joint Disciplinary Chamber of the Russian Hockey Federation (FHR ) and the Continental Hockey League (KHL ) adjourned the session with the declaration “Siberia “, reports the KHL website.
In mid-January, the KHL canceled the results of four Siberian matches, awarding technical defeats to the Novosibirsk club. The league’s decision was prompted by the request for a single match exceeding the limit established for foreign players. In two meetings with Barys, as well as in matches with Avangard and Avtomobilist, Canadians Andy Andreoff, Taylor Beck, Trevor Murphy and Fedor Gordeev, who had American sports citizenship, had the status of a foreign player in the Sibir team, but later FHR I changed it to Russian.
— Following the meeting, the joint disciplinary chamber of the FHR and KHL decided to announce a break due to the need to clarify additional circumstances with the parties. The meeting will continue on February 9, the KHL said in a statement.
