Athletistic/Hockey. Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin commented on the loss to the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL regular season.

The match in Washington ended with a score of 5:2 in favor of the guests. This is the Capitals’ fifth straight loss this season. Ovechkin scored his 10th goal of the season.

“We made some mistakes that cost us in the first half. The break this week may have had an impact, but you saw how we played in the second half. We had a lot of chances. If we play as we did in the second half, success will be ours.” It’s kind of a wake-up call for all of us,” Ovechkin told the NHL press service.

Ovechkin, with 832 goals, ranks second on the list of top scorers in NHL history, behind Canadian Wayne Gretzky (894).
