The KHL sports and disciplinary commission did not sanction the Avangard Omsk striker Nikita Kholodilina for a power move against the SKA Saint Petersburg striker Sergei Tolshinsky the KHL website reported.
The match took place on Tuesday in Omsk and ended with a victory for the hosts with a score of 9:5. At the end of the second period, Kholodilin used a power move against Tolchinsky. The SKA forward left the ice with the help of his teammates and was unable to continue the game. The match’s main referees, Viktor Gashilov and Sergei Yudakov, each gave Kholodilin and Alex Galchenyuk a two-minute penalty for the next bout. On Wednesday, reported that SKA sent a request to the KHL arbitration department to carefully study the episode with Tolchinsky and Kholodilin.
“Based on the documents presented, it was decided not to impose sanctions on Kholodilin as provided for in Article 28 of the KHL Disciplinary Regulations,” the statement said.
