The Vsevolozhsk City Court registered the hockey player’s claim Ivan Fedotov to the St. Petersburg commission draft, the corresponding entry appeared in the electronic filing cabinet of the judicial institution.
Fedotov acts as plaintiff. The hockey player challenges the decisions and actions (inaction) of public authorities, military authorities.
In July, Fedotov was arrested in St. Petersburg on suspicion of escaping military service. At the St. Petersburg military registration and enlistment office, he complained of deteriorating health, was sent to several medical institutions in St. Petersburg, and then taken to Severodvinsk. As it became known to , the 25-year-old keeper will remain in City in the training unit until the oath is taken. He is expected to be sworn in on August 13.
Earlier, Fedotov’s lawyer Alexei Ponomarev said that the procedure for drafting a hockey player into the army was violated.
In the 2021/22 season, Fedotov won the Gagarin Cup with CSKA, in May he signed a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers NHL club.
