The Russian attackerTampa Bay » Nikita Koucherov completed two scoring passes in the NHL regular season game against Columbus and broke away from the Canadian forward “Colorado » Nathan McKinnon in the race for scorers.
Kucherov, 30, is the league’s top scorer, scoring 89 (33+56) points in 52 matches. The Russian is four points ahead of 28-year-old Canadian forward from the Colorado Avalanche, Nathan MacKinnon, who has 85 (32+53) points in 53 games.
McKinnon did not score any points in the Florida-Colorado game, which ended in a 4-0 victory for the Sunrise team.
