Athletistic/Hockey. Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery expressed his thoughts on 38-year-old Russian Capital forward Alexander Ovechkin’s four-game goal streak.

“For the scorers, no matter what they do, their confidence starts to grow and you see a little progress in their game,” journalist Tariq El-Bashir quoted Carbery as saying on social network X (formerly Twitter).

Remember that this is Ovechkin’s first streak of four consecutive games since March 2023, when he scored in four consecutive games from March 19 to 25. Ovechkin has 60 goals left before he reaches Gretzky’s record for most goals scored.

During his NHL career, Ovechkin scored 834 goals and made 686 assists in 1,394 games.
