According to the KHL press service, 21,481 spectators were present at SKA’s first-ever home match at the new SKA Arena stadium. This set a new attendance record for KHL indoor games. The previous record was set in the fourth match of the 2014 Gagarin Cup final, when Lev from Prague met Metallurg from Magnitogorsk (the series ended with a score of 3-4). Then, 17,073 spectators came to watch the match.
It is also worth noting that the absolute record was also set in St. Petersburg during the match between SKA and CSKA in 2018, which took place at the Gazprom Arena stadium. 67,770 spectators attended this match.
