Before “Tractors” Semyon Der-Arguchintsev shared his impressions of playing in the KHL.
Der-Arguchintsev became a Traktor player in June last year. This Fonbet KHL Championship season, the 23-year-old forward scored 32 points (16+16) in 52 matches. The forward has experience in the OHL, ECHL and AHL.
— This is your first full season in the KHL. How satisfied are you with the regular season, which is coming to an end?
— Overall, a good season. I really enjoy playing Traktor and in the KHL, I enjoy every game, home and away. The team plays interesting hockey and enters the playoffs in good shape. But you always expect more from yourself: some games work, others don’t.
— Are those who say that after returning from North America right that it takes time to adapt?
– Yes, you are still rebuilding, and I’m probably not completely rebuilt yet. When you feel comfortable in the league, you play at your level in every match. This season, I’m doing it in waves: some matches are good, others not so good. In the second half of the championship there was more stability and, in my opinion, this is the most important thing.
— What exactly do you have to get used to? The style of play?
“Everything, especially when we have played a lot abroad,” Derg-Arguchintsev said, as quoted by RB Sport.
