Russian goalie for the New York Rangers Igor Shesterkin recognized as the first star of the NHL regular season, the league’s press service reports.
The Rangers beat the Calgary Flames on their home ice with a score of 2:0, Shesterkin stopped 30 shots and kept a clean sheet for the first time this season.
The second star of the day is Philadelphia striker Travis Konecny, who scored a goal and two assists in the home match against Arizona (5:3). In third place is Minnesota forward Matt Boldy, who scored three points (1+2) in the away match against Vegas (5:3).
This season, Shesterkin, 28, played in 34 games and blocked an average of 90.2% of shots.
