Athletistic/Hockey. According to Metaratings, HC Norilsk is considering the possibility of joining the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) from the start of the 2024/2025 season.

Currently, the club from the Krasnoyarsk Territory plays in the Major Hockey League (VHL), taking 18th place after playing 53 regular season matches and collecting 60 points.

The team recently gained public attention after signing Mikhail Anisin to a contract. However, in December 2023, the club terminated the deal with this striker, who failed to score a single goal in 22 matches.

It should be noted that Norilsk is the northernmost hockey club in the world and receives financial support from the Norilsk Nickel company.

Currently, 23 teams participate in the KHL.
