The Washington captain scored his team’s third goal in the game against the Avalanche. Ovechkin scored a goal in his sixth straight game, something he hadn’t done in over five years. The last time such a feat was achieved by the legendary Russian was in December 2018.

Alexander Ovechkin played 49 games this season in the NHL and scored 37 points for his performance – he scored 14 goals and became the author of 23 assists with an overall utility indicator of -15.
