Athletistic / Hockey. San Jose Sharks defenseman Shakir Mukhamadullin says he has no regrets about moving to North America. The 22-year-old Russian is a student of Salavat Yulaev.

“If you take my playing time, I play more now than last season. There were games where I spent 28 minutes on the ice. Now I also play on the power play and in the minority. So I’m “happy with how this one’s season is going, and I don’t regret coming to North America,” Mukhamadullin said, as quoted by TASS.

Shakir Mukhamadullin was selected in the first round, 20th overall, by the New Jersey Devils in the 2020 NHL Draft. He started this season in the San Jose farm club in the AHL and scored 37 (6+21) points in 44 games in the goal+pass system, being one of the most productive defensemen in the league. Thanks to this, Shakir received a call to the NHL at the end of January.
