The head coach Carolina Hurricanes Rod Bridamor said that the Russian goalkeeper Pierre Kochetkov greatly contributed to the victory against the Arizona Coyotes in the NHL regular season game.
The meeting took place in Tempe and ended with a score of 5:1 in favor of the guests. Kochetkov stopped 30 shots and was recognized as the third star of the game.
“We started really well, which was nice to see.” Kochetkov also played very well. Peter made several very important saves. We took the lead and then we kind of took a step back, but these things happen. I think our advantage early in the game made the difference,” Brindammore told the Carolina website.
This season, Kochetkov played 28 matches in which he won 14 victories with 90.5% reflected shots.
