Pyotr Kochetkov was born in Penza and started his career at local Diesel. In the KHL he played for Sochi, SKA, Vityaz and Torpedo. From the Nizhny Novgorod club, he joined the Carolina Hurricanes in 2022. He was selected by the club in the 2019 NHL Draft.
