Athletistic / Hockey. The Tampa Bay Lightning were defeated last night by the Florida Panthers (2:9) in an NHL regular season home game. However, this did not stop Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov from strengthening his leadership in the NHL scoring race.
The 30-year-old Russian this time scored an assist during the meeting with his geographical neighbors. This allowed him to increase his lead over Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon to five points in the race for the title of top scorer of the NHL season. Kucherov now has 94 (36+58) points in the goal+assist system, while MacKinnon currently has 89 (32+57) points.
Third on the scoring list is Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid (81=21+60).
Note that Nikita Kucherov has already become the top scorer of the season in the NHL. This happened during the 2018/2019 campaign.
