Former hockey player Yevgeny Artiukhin expressed the opinion that the head coach of Traktor Alexey Zavarukhin “put spokes in the wheels” at the club.
After 65 matches, the Chelyabinsk club led by Zavarukhin is in sixth place in the Eastern Conference of the KHL, gaining 74 points.
“The coach, who the whole team is passionate about, should be supported, but for some reason they put a spoke in the club’s wheels. Let the person refine it and show the result. This situation will definitely affect the playoffs. Until mutual understanding is found within the club, it will be difficult to hope that the team will go far,” Artyukhin said, as quoted by RB Sport.
