MacKinnon is second in the NHL with the longest point streak in home games since the start of the season.

Before “Colorado Avalanche » Nathan Mackinnon ranked second in NHL history for the longest streak of points scored in home games since the start of the season, the league’s press service reports.

On Sunday, MacKinnon scored a goal and an assist in a regular season home game against Arizona (4-3). The Canadian forward scored points in 26 consecutive home games, surpassing Bobby Orr’s record of 25 during the 1974-75 season. The record belongs to Wayne Gretzky (40 games in the 1988/89 season).

MacKinnon, 28, scored 91 points (33 goals and 58 assists) in 56 regular season games.
