Athletistic / Hockey. Last night, the Pittsburgh Penguins held a ceremony in honor of Jaromir Jagr before the NHL regular season game against the Los Angeles Kings (1:2). On it, the “penguins” removed the number 68, under which the legendary Czech striker played in their club.
Before the game against Los Angeles began, many Pittsburgh legends gathered on the ice at PG Paints Arena to honor Jagr. Jaromir became the third player in franchise history to have his number retired, the first being Mario Lemieux (66th) and Michel Brière (21st).
Jaromir Jagr played for Pittsburgh for 11 years, from 1990 to 2001. He won the Stanley Cup twice with the Penguins. In 806 games in the Pittsburgh jersey during the NHL regular season, the Czech scored 1079 (439+640) points using the goal+pass system.
