New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin scored the winning goal in overtime of the away game against the New York Islanders (6:5 OT) and also recorded two assists. As a result, the 32-year-old Russian was recognized as the best player of the day in the NHL.

The second star of the day was Los Angeles Kings forward Adrian Kempe. The Swede scored twice and brought his team victory in the away match against the Pittsburgh Penguins (2:1). He scored the winning goal in the minority at the very end of the match.

The third star of the day was Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon. The Canadian scored 2 (1+1) points thanks to the goal+pass system in the victorious match against the Arizona Coyotes (4:3).
