Athletistic / Hockey. Washington Capitals captain and forward Alexander Ovechkin shared his emotions after the Capitals’ victory in the NHL regular season home game against the New Jersey Devils (6:2).
“Today was a very important game for us, it was a four-point game. Everyone in our dressing room understood that very well. We started well, Connor McMichael did a great job. Charlie Lindgren (Washington goalkeeper – Approx. Athletistic) played simply amazing today. We played well in the minority, and that was important in the second half.
The most important feeling is that we didn’t stop in the third 20 minutes, as we often do. We played a great game, played smart and won the two most important points,” Ovechkin was quoted as saying by the NHL press service.
In the match against New Jersey, Alexander Ovechkin scored a double and an assist.

“Washington” won its second consecutive victory last night. Spencer Carbery’s men have scored 58 points in 54 matches and occupy 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings.
