The Estonian Hockey Association has suspended the licenses of athletes from this country who participated in the “Games of the Future,” the organization’s press service reports.
Estonia is represented at the tournament in the physical hockey discipline by Otar Sakhokia, Alex Morozov, Vladimir Bashkirova and Dmitry Kuznetsov. Earlier on Friday it became known that the Latvian Hockey Federation had also suspended the licenses of players participating in the tournament.
“The Estonian Hockey Association suspends the licenses of all hockey players of Estonian league teams participating in the Future Games festival in Russia,” the message reads.
From February 21 to March 3, 2024, the “Games of the Future” will take place in Kazan. The sports program includes competitions in 21 disciplines at 10 sports facilities in Kazan and Sochi.
Broadcasts of the Future Games competitions take place on the channels of the Match sub-holding, as well as on streaming platforms.
