Hockey player Khusnutdinov signed a two-year contract with Minnesota

Attack Marat Khusnutdinov signed a rookie contract with Minnesota Wild the NHL club’s website reported.

The deal with the 21-year-old Russian is for two years.

On Wednesday, Khusnutdinov terminated his contract with Sochi on his own initiative. The forward played 55 games with Sochi and SKA Saint Petersburg in the last KHL regular season and scored 20 points (6 goals and 14 assists).

Minnesota selected Khusnutdinov in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft, 37th overall. The Russian will wear number 22 for the Wild.

Minnesota, for which Kirill Kaprizov plays, is in 11th place in the Western Conference standings.
