Athletistic / Hockey. The Pittsburgh Penguins suffered a devastating loss to the Edmonton Oilers last night (1:6) in an NHL regular season road game. The Penguins’ lone goal was scored by forward Evgeni Malkin.
The 37-year-old Russian now has 1,275 points in goals and assists during his NHL career. This allowed Malkin to surpass legendary defenseman Al MacInnis (1,274 points) and move into 38th place on the NHL’s all-time scoring list. Currently, Evgeniy has 488 goals scored and 787 assists.
Malkin’s closest benchmark is now Alex Delvecchio with 1,281 career NHL points.
In their next game, Pittsburgh will face the Columbus Blue Jackets.
