The Russian attackerWashington » Ivan Miroshnichenko could get playing time in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season game against Pittsburgh, reporter Sammy Silber reports, citing Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery.
This season, the 20-year-old Russian has played four matches, in which he was not effective.
At the end of February, Miroshnichenko was recalled by Washington from the farm club. This season, he has 25 points (9 goals, 16 assists) in 47 games with the Hershey Bears in the AHL.
Washington, with 65 points, ranks 10th in the Eastern Conference standings, Pittsburgh (62) is 12th. The face-to-face team meeting will take place on March 7.
