On July 28 at 8:00 p.m., CSKA Small Sports Arena will host a charity match between star athletes and the Russian Paralympic Sledge Hockey Team in partnership with BC Fonbet.
The event’s ambassador will be 2018 Stanley Cup winner, three-time world champion Alexander Ovechkin.
Spectators will be able to see on the ice the game of one of the strongest sledge hockey teams on the planet, the reigning European champions – the Russian team. Our team also has silver medals at the XI Paralympic Winter Games in 2014, 3 bronze medals at the World Championships.
As part of the team of world hockey stars, Stanley Cup winners Alexander Ovechkin, Dmitry Orlov, two-time Olympic champions Vyacheslav Fetisov, Alexander Yakushev and Alexei Kasatonov, Olympic champions Valery Kamensky, Vladimir Myshkin, Alexei Zhamnov and Vitaly Prokhorov, Olympic champion in gymnastics Nikita Nagorny and others.
After the Russian team was suspended from participation in the Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing, Fonbet decided to support Russian Paralympic athletes and transfer more than 54 million rubles to athletes, coaches and specialists of the entire team suspended.
The charity project of the company Fonbet “Bet for Good” helps those who are especially in need of attention: the elderly, children in orphanages and boarding schools, children with disabilities. The aim of the program is to show that sport should be accessible to everyone. The company has supported ice hockey for many years and organizes a charity event “Assist” in cooperation with the KHL. All funds raised are used to create new children’s sledge hockey teams, to buy sports equipment for the teams, to rent ice for training and to pay for the work of the coaches.
