Athletistic / Hockey. Ottawa Senators forward Vladimir Tarasenko wants to leave the Canadian club. The 32-year-old Russian named the team he would like to continue his career with.
According to the Ottawa Sun, Tarasenko’s priority option would be the Florida Panthers. The source notes that it is beneficial for Ottawa to let the Russian go now, since he will become an unrestricted free agent next summer.
Tarasenko signed a one-year contract with Ottawa in the summer of 2023. However, the Canadian club almost lost its chances of qualifying for the playoffs, and therefore wants to clear its salary sheet at the deadline. It was previously reported that Vladimir had attracted the attention of the Edmonton Oilers.
This season, Vladimir Tarasenko has 57 matches and 41 (17+24) points in the goal+pass system. In total, in the NHL, the graduate of Novosibirsk Sibir played 732 matches and scored 615 performance points – he scored 287 goals and made 328 assists. In 2019, Tarasenko won the Stanley Cup with the St. Louis Blues.
