Former head coach of Spartak Fedor Kanareikin shared his opinion on the possible return of the striker Evgenia Kuznetsova in the KHL.
Previously, the 31-year-old Russian completed an NHL player assistance program. Later, the Washington Capitals entered the player into the draft, but no club in the league chose the hockey player. Washington sent the player to the farm club.
— You know, in general, a return to the KHL is probably possible. Do you understand what is happening? I want the player to find himself, get out of such a situation, and then everything else,” Kanareikin said, as quoted by Vprognoze.ru.
Kuznetsov played 43 games this season in the NHL and scored 17 points (6+11). The forward’s current contract, with a salary of $7.8 million, runs until the end of next season.
