Attack “Lokomotiv” Daniel Tesanov after defeating CSKA in the fourth game of the KHL playoff series, he told that he had no feeling of fear on the ice, and the confrontation with the military team gave him an additional charge of emotions.
On Wednesday, Lokomotiv beat CSKA in the fourth match (2:1) in Moscow. The railroaders led the best of seven series 3-1. The fifth match will take place in Yaroslavl on March 8.
– You are doing very well in this series. You can feel your energy with every gear change – you feel constant pressure, lots of throws. It seems that you were the only Lokomotiv player who was not afraid of CSKA in the first match.
— In principle, I have no feeling of fear on the ice. My mood is what it should be during knockout matches. It’s the playoffs, no matter who the opponent is. The fact that we are against CSKA gives an extra charge of emotions. We were relegated several seasons in a row.
— You go out on the ice in threes. Are you comfortable with changing partners during matches?
– That doesn’t matter to me at all. I played like that at the start of the season. Then I had stable partners. Now I’m dating different threesomes again. Regardless, the coaching task remains, it must be fulfilled and help the team win.
— Lokomotiv lost the first match 0:4, after which they won three matches in a row. Why has the team changed so much? What did you talk about with your partners after the first match?
— We just failed the first match. I don’t have many comments on this. From the second game, we started to show our hockey. But the series isn’t over yet. We will continue to act in the same spirit.
— Lokomotiv scored all its goals in the second half and overtime in the series with CSKA. Do you know that your opponent is sagging in these segments, so you act more actively?
— We know what CSKA does in the second half and we understand what we need to do ourselves. We catch them making mistakes and we succeed,” Tesanov told .
