Former defenseman for several KHL clubs Nikita Shchitov believes that the head coach “Ak Barsa” Zinetula Bilyaletdinov will leave his position at the end of the season.
On Wednesday, Ak Bars defeated Avtomobilist with a score of 5:0 in the fourth match of the first round of the Fonbet KHL Championship playoffs, the Kazan team narrowed the gap in the series – 1-3.
“I think it’s obvious that Bilyaletdinov will go on vacation at the end of the season. He didn’t want to work this year anyway, but he was asked. The guys who played were selected, but it seems they don’t like hockey. When they receive it, we will see a different result,” Shchitov told RB Sport.
The fifth match of the series between Ak Bars and Avtomobilist will take place on March 8 in Kazan.
