Double Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov expressed satisfaction with the high attendance at matches of the regular Fonbet KHL championship in the 2023/24 season.
Earlier it became known that the completed KHL regular season set a record for average attendance – an average of 6,622 spectators came to each game.
— This season I attended a number of matches and was satisfied with the attendance. Including at Megasport, where Spartak plays. Of course, the arenas weren’t always packed, but the overall occupancy rate of the stands was impressive.
On the positive side, I will note the intrigue of the championship: throughout the regular season there was a struggle for the first places in the conferences and to get to the playoffs. Some competent teams had failed periods, which only added fuel to the fire, Fetisov told RT.
