Florida coach talks about Tarasenko’s first game

Head coach of the NHL club “Florida Panthers » Paul Maurice welcomes the striker’s debut Vladimir Tarasenko for the team, pointing out that the Russian sometimes acted in ways unusual for him.

Florida lost to Philadelphia on Thursday with a score of 1: 2. Tarasenko spent 15 minutes and 9 seconds on the ice and scored two shots on target.

“I liked the incompetent things he did today.” His skills are good, we don’t mind. But he blocked some shots and got used to the new playing formations very quickly,” Maurice said, as quoted by Five Reasons Sports.

Tarasenko is 32 years old and was traded to Florida on Tuesday from Ottawa, for whom he had been playing since the start of this season. Previously, the striker had defended the colors of the New York and Saint-Louis Rangers, with whom he won the Stanley Cup.
