Athletistic / Hockey. The Carolina Hurricanes held an impromptu presentation of forward Evgeny Kuznetsov, traded the day before from the Washington Capitals. A photo with the Russian forward’s number was posted on the Hurricanes’ social media.
“The eagle has landed,” the Caroline press service said in an article about Kuznetsov.

Evgeny Kuznetsov only played in the NHL for Washington. With the capital, he won the Stanley Cup in 2018. This season, the 31-year-old Russian played 43 games with Washington in the NHL regular season and scored 17 (6+11) points in the goal+assist system with an overall rating of -11.
Evgeniy played his last game with the Caps on January 27 against the Dallas Stars (4:5 OT). After that, he ended up in the NHL Player Assistance Program, then was placed on waivers by Washington and sent to the AHL.
