“There was a close bond between them, they were family friends. I think he wants the best for Evgeniy and his family,” Carbery was quoted as saying by the Washington press service.
Kuznetsov will now play for Carolina. This season, the hockey player scored 17 (6+11) goals in 43 matches with Washington.
