A new attendance record was set during the matches of the first round of the Fonbet KHL Championship playoffs, the league press service reports.
— The total attendance at the matches of the first round of the KHL playoffs after the matches on March 9 was 368 thousand 361 spectators. This is a new record for matches in the first round of the Gagarin Cup. The previous record (367,669 spectators) was set in the first round of the 2023 playoffs, the KHL said in a press release.
Average attendance for the first round of the KHL playoffs as of March 9 is a record 9,445 spectators; the previous record belongs to the first round of the 2019 KHL playoffs – 8,256 spectators.
