However, Tortorella refused to leave the bench and continued to argue with the referees. The specialist went to the locker room only a few minutes later.
The NHL has suspended Tortorella, who will now miss Philadelphia’s games against San Jose (March 12) and Toronto (March 14).
In addition to the disqualification, the 65-year-old specialist will pay a $50,000 fine, the funds will go to the NHL Foundation.
